# UpdateItemsResult

> What `Dataset.update_items()` wrote, and the dataset at the version it made.

**New in version 0.8.0**

## Example

```python theme={null}
result = dataset.update_items(items=new_items, delete_ids=old_ids)
print(result.created_ids, result.deleted_ids)
dataset = result.dataset  # the new version
```

## Attributes

**dataset** `Dataset`

The dataset at the version this write committed; the current version
if nothing changed.

**created\_ids** `list[UUID]`

Items that came into existence, including ids the server minted.

**updated\_ids** `list[UUID]`

Live items given a new revision.

**deleted\_ids** `list[UUID]`

Items deleted.

**unchanged\_ids** `list[UUID]`

Items submitted with the content already stored; nothing was written for them.
