# DatasetVersionCompact

> A committed version of a dataset.

**New in version 0.8.0**

## Attributes

**id** `UUID`

The version's unique id.

**version** `int`

The version number within its dataset. A new dataset's first, empty
version is 0 (1 for datasets created before versioning), and each write adds
one.

**tag** `str | None`

Reserved; always None.
